Founded in 1962, SICAREV is a cooperative group specializing in wholesale meat marketing (beef, veal, pork and processed products) and livestock trading.<\/p>\n

Over the years, the group has expanded considerably, notably through several takeovers, mergers and major investments.<\/p>\n

The Group\u2019s efficient organization enables it to control the entire meat production and marketing chain. This guarantees the traceability and quality of the Group\u2019s products, and enables it to meet the needs of its French and European customers.<\/p>\n

One goal: to be free of accounting data entry!<\/h2>\n

The group\u2019s clientele is mainly made up of mass retailers, butchers, wholesalers and local authorities, who make their payments mainly by bank transfer. Alexandrine Sotton, head of management control for the Sicarev group, explains that the 56,000 transfers received each year were processed manually by sales administration (for transfers destined for the largest group companies) and accounts receivable (other companies).<\/p>\n

\"objectifIn this way, 1.5 FTEs were devoted to identifying, entering and lettering<\/a> incoming transfers in the IRIS Finance ERP system. \u201cThe most time-consuming part wasn\u2019t really the data entry, but rather the time spent searching for invoices and reconciling invoices with incoming payments,\u201d says Ms. Sotton.<\/p>\n

In 2010, Tradival merged with Orl\u00e9ans Meat, and a tool to automate the processing of incoming transfers became essential: \u201cWe doubled our business and couldn\u2019t cope with the extra workload. Despite regular recruitment, we were falling behind, and this was preventing us from effectively following up with our customers\u201d.<\/p>\n

Following on from the success of the GEC Connect project, the teams turned their attention to the implementation of CashOnTime Allocation: \u201cA relevant analysis was carried out by the DIMO Software teams, and we carried out around 15 days of testing. Sicarev quickly went into production, and the other companies gradually followed suit,\u201d explains Ms. Sotton. \u201cThe 4 people using the solution were trained in CashOnTime Allocation over 2 days: the first day was devoted to mastering the basics, then the second day was devoted to concrete exercises using our figures\u201d.<\/p>\n
