As a result, right from the start of production, we achieve very high automatic lettering rates.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>A regional, independent and ambitious group<\/h2>\n<p>The SAMSE Group is an independent distributor of building materials for the home and construction industry.<\/p>\n<p>Its 350 sales outlets, under more than 20 different banners (Samse, Doras, Les comptoirs du bois, La bo\u00eete \u00e0 outils, l\u2019entrep\u00f4t du bricolage\u2026) make it the leader in the eastern half of France.<\/p>\n<p>The SAMSE group\u2019s activities are concentrated around two key businesses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>materials trading (81% of sales) for professional customers<\/li>\n<li>DIY equipment (19% of sales) for private customers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>A watchword: productivity<\/h2>\n<p>The SAMSE group treasury department employs a staff of 11, in charge of cash management, group debt management, customer collection, payment centralization, group electronic payments\u2026<\/p>\n<p>This management task is particularly onerous, since 1.374 billion credit flows and 1.263 billion debit flows pass through the group treasury department every year. The department has to manage 87 bank accounts, including 32 current accounts.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-66241\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cashontime.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/un-mot-d-ordre-productivite-360x240.jpg\" alt=\"productivite\" width=\"360\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cashontime.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/un-mot-d-ordre-productivite-360x240.jpg 360w, https:\/\/www.cashontime.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/un-mot-d-ordre-productivite-710x474.jpg 710w, https:\/\/www.cashontime.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/un-mot-d-ordre-productivite.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>St\u00e9phane Delachenal, Group Treasurer, explains that \u201ctoday, the SAMSE Group\u2019s customer receivables account for 3,500 monthly transfers, a number that is rising sharply due in particular to the dematerialization of payment methods used by public authorities, who are multiplying the number of transfers\u201d. He adds that \u201cevery day, his team armed themselves with stabilos and scrutinized the transaction advices for manual <a href=\"\/en\/automation-lettering-accounting\/\">lettering<\/a> of customer payments in the Oracle Applications 11.5.8 ERP. This manual lettering took almost 6 hours a day, and with the increase in the number of transfers it became essential to improve our productivity\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2>Choosing CashOnTime Allocation<\/h2>\n<p>Already a fully satisfied DIMO Software customer for cash management, bank communication and automated accounting entries, the SAMSE group was convinced by CashOnTime Allocation: \u201cThe product manager presented the solution to us, and the promise of productivity was particularly appealing,\u201d explains the group treasurer.<\/p>\n<p>St\u00e9phane Delachenal explains how quickly CashOnTime Allocation was deployed: \u201cDIMO Software fully understood our requirements, which enabled the solution to be installed and parameterized without a hitch, and without a single day\u2019s delay\u201d. So, before going live, we created an export file of outstanding invoices, asked the banks for enriched statements, and \u201cran the database empty\u201d. We\u2019re even up to 100% with some banks, such as the Banque Postale! The remaining 8% are easily lettered using the manual lettering wizard.<\/p>\n<h3>Increased productivity with accounting lettering software<\/h3>\n<p>The two people seconded to the CashOnTime Allocation project were trained by the DIMO Software teams, and were then able to train the rest of the team, who appreciate the ease of use of the solution. The Group Treasurer sums up CashOnTime Allocation as \u201ca simple tool that works well, guaranteeing significant productivity gains\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to CashOnTime Allocation, the SAMSE group treasury team has saved a great deal of time: \u201cWe estimate the time saved at 6 hours per day, or one Full Time Equivalent. The time saved enables us to concentrate on the most difficult cases. Since the installation of CashOnTime Allocation, we\u2019ve been able to take a more qualitative approach: we\u2019re concentrating on improving our collection processes, so that dunning is more efficient, with fewer errors\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2>Time to take stock<\/h2>\n<p>Looking back on this solution, Mr. Delachenal stresses that he appreciates the efficiency of CashOnTime Allocation, which has enabled his team to save a lot of time and concentrate on a high value-added activity: customer reminders.
