Founded in 1962, SICAREV is a cooperative group specializing in wholesale meat marketing (beef, veal, pork and processed products) and livestock trading.

The group’s clientele is mainly made up of mass retailers, butchers, wholesalers and local authorities, who make their payments mainly by bank transfer. Alexandrine Sotton, head of management control for the Sicarev group, explains that the 56,000 transfers received each year were processed manually by sales administration (for transfers destined for the largest group companies) and accounts receivable (other companies).
In this way, 1.5 FTEs were devoted to identifying, entering and lettering incoming transfers in the IRIS Finance ERP system. “The most time-consuming part wasn’t really the data entry, but rather the time spent searching for invoices and reconciling invoices with incoming payments,” says Ms. Sotton.
In 2010, Tradival merged with Orléans Meat, and a tool to automate the processing of incoming transfers became essential: “We doubled our business and couldn’t cope with the extra workload. Despite regular recruitment, we were falling behind, and this was preventing us from effectively following up with our customers”.

Following on from the success of the GEC Connect project, the teams turned their attention to the implementation of CashOnTime Allocation: “A relevant analysis was carried out by the DIMO Software teams, and we carried out around 15 days of testing. Sicarev quickly went into production, and the other companies gradually followed suit,” explains Ms. Sotton. “The 4 people using the solution were trained in CashOnTime Allocation over 2 days: the first day was devoted to mastering the basics, then the second day was devoted to concrete exercises using our figures”.

The “Large Payer” module, which is particularly well-suited to suppliers in the retail sector, enables the use of transfer announcements for pre-layout and discrepancy management.
What’s more, “the lettering wizard is a fantastic tool for processing outstanding transfers. This multi-criteria search system saves a lot of time,” says Ms. Sotton.
“CashOnTime Allocation is an accounting lettering software that enables significant productivity gains by eliminating the time-consuming task of accounting entry. The time saved corresponds to 0.5 FTE: we can now concentrate on higher value-added tasks, which are more interesting for the team. The accounts are up to date, the data is reliable, and we can devote more time to customer reminders,” says Ms Sotton.
